How to change the icon of a shortcut

Select it, click the right button and choose "Properties".
Click "Shortcut", choose "Change icon" and "Search".
Look for the icon you want (ending with *.ico), select it and click "OK".

How to change the icons of My PC, My Documents, Network and Trash

Click the right button in any place of the desktop and choose "Properties".
In "Effects" choose the icon you want to change and click on "Change icon".
Look for the icon you want (ending with *.ico), select it and click "OK".

How to change the icons associated to any kind of generic file on your computer

In any window of the Windows Explorer, click on the "See" menu and then "Folder options".
On "File types" choose the icon you want to change, click "Edit" and then "Edit icon".
Look for the icon you want (ending with *.ico), select it and click "OK".

How to get an icon for commercial use

Dan's icons are free for personal use only as long as there is a reciprocal link back to Dan's Lighthouse Page somewhere on the same page.
Due to legal reasons, I can only sell my graphics to commercial sites. At that time, I will remove the graphic from my site (since I no longer own it).
If you would be interested in purchasing one of the graphics on my site, or would like a custom-made graphic, please let me know & I'll let you know what the options are.
